I think it should be epithet... btw im giving answer for SPECIES EPITHET...A specific epithet is the second part of a scientific name (binomen) in binomial nomenclature in any branch of biology. There are slight variations in usage in different disciplines, and it may refer: in botany to the second part of a botanical name.
