The british came to India as traders and gradually took over the country. How this happened. Was there any design/planning to do so in the beginning??

No, in the beginning there was no planing to rule upon India.They just came to trade with us but when they saw the disunity and hatred in Indians for Indian people. they decided to rule.

bcoz they saw the richness of india and their ignorance there r many gold mines etc.... and they saw the relationship between the people and which became their target the break in the bond of indians lead them to the rule by the weak relation ships the get the chance to split the indians ............
