the cloth required to make a shirt of school uniform for each boy is 1m 80cm how many shirts can tailor stich using 40m of cloth.how much cloth will be left

First convert metres into cm.
Then divide 1m 80cm and 40m ones. Shirts can be stitched will come.
Then subtract the the answer before from 40m

Clothes required for each shirt = 180 cm
total clothes = 4000 cm
4000 ÷ 180
remainder = 40
left clothes = 40 cm
