first of all your question is incomplete

Given:

2x^3-4x^4+5x^2-x^5+3.

To find:

the coefficient of highest power of x in the given polynomial.

Solution:

1)polynomial is algebraic expression which consists of the variable and coefficient.

2)coefficient are the number of variable.now we have to consider the coefficient of the variable.

= 2x³ - 4x⁴ + 5x² - x⁵ + 3

= -x⁵ - 4x⁴ + 2x³ + 5x² + 3

HIGHEST DEGREE IS = 5

AND IT'S COEFFICIENT IS = -1

so, the coefficient of highest power of x in the given polynomial is -1.
