when copper is exposed to air, it reacts with moisture ( h2o).

copper vessel form such a green coating because of corrosion. ( includes above statement also)

the green thing which is on the copper is basic in nature. since lemon contains citric acid, both acid and base react and there occurs neutralization reaction. so simply, the salt and water can be cleaned away whereas soap is basic in nature. there will be no use when a base and base react.

1. exposed to atmosphere this reacts with oxygen

2. due to corrosion

3. soap is basic, lemon and tamarind are acids and they clean copper. lemon - citric acid, tamarind - Tartaric acid.

☺hope this helps. thank you❤
