Let the cost of 1 watch be x rupees and that of a locket be y rupees.

Cost of 2 watches = 2x and Cost of 2 lockets = 2y       _ (1)

According to first given case, the equation will be -

2x + 2y = 10,800

2 ( x+y ) = 10800

x + y = 10800 ÷ 2

x + y = 5400

For next equation we need to find value of 1 variable in terms of other.

So x = 5400 - y             ( u can also take value of y in terms of x )      _ (2)

Similarly cost of 6 watches = 6x and cost of 3 lockets = 3y

According to next case , the equation is -

6x + 3y = 6 ( 5400 - y ) + 3y            ( From (2) )

             = 32400 - 6y +3y

             = 32400 - 3y

3y = 32400

y = 1800     _ (3)

now putting value of y in (2) we get

x = 5400 - 1800

x = 3600    _ (4)

Putting value of x and y we get

6x + 3y = 6×3600 + 3×1800

             = 21600 + 5400

             = 27000

∴ Cost of 6 watches and 3 lockets is 27000 rupees

It's Not possible to determine! Because two variables and one equation are available.
