given :-

curved surface area of the cone = 1640πcm²

base radius of the cone = 40cm

we know the formula for the curved surface area of a cone. that is πrl. where 'l' is the slant height of the cone.

 \tt \therefore \cancel{ \pi} rl = 1640 \cancel{\pi} {cm}^{2} \\ \\ \tt = > 40 \times l = 1640 \\ \\ \tt = > l = \frac{1640}{40} \\ \\ \tt = > l = 41cm

hence the slant height of the cone is 41cm.
