Let, the numerator be x.
Then, the denominator = x + 3.
According to question, x + 4 / x + 3 + 4 = 4/5
x + 4 / x + 7 = 4/5
5(x+4) = 4(x+7)
5x+20 = 4x +28
5x-4x = 28-20
x = 8
Therefore, numerator = 8 and denominator = 8+3 = 11 .
Hence, the fraction is 8/11.
