let the numerator =x
denominator =x+3
the fraction =x/(x+3)----(1)
2 is added to numerator and 5 is added to denominator =1/2
(x+2)/(x+3+5) =1/2
(x+2)/(x+8)=1/2
2(x+2)=(x+8)
2x+4=x+8
2x-x=8-4
x=4
substitute x=4 in (1)
required fraction = x/(x+3)
=4/(4+3)
=4/7
denominator =x+3
