Diameter of circle = 8 inches
so radius of circle = 4 inches
now area = π r^2
=3.14× 4×4
= 3.14×16
= 50.24 square inches (Ans)

The area of circle is 50.24inche^2

Find the area of a circle

In geometry, a diameter of a circle is any straight line segment that passes through the center of the circle and whose endpoints lie on the circle. It can also be defined as the longest chord of the circle. Both definitions are also valid for the diameter of a sphere.

In classical geometry, a radius of a circle or sphere is any of the line segments from its center to its perimeter, and in more modern usage, it is also their length. The name comes from the latin radius, meaning ray but also the spoke of a chariot wheel.

Radius of circle is half of diameter

R=\frac{n}{3} \Rightarrow\frac{8}{2} =4inches

Area of circle =\pi r^2

=\frac{22}{7}\times 16 \Rightarrow \frac{352}{7}

Hence, the are area of circle =50.24 square inches

50.24in^2
