Given

The diameter of cylinder is 28 cm and it is height is 40 cm

To find

find the curved surface area, total surface area and volume of cylinder

Solution

  • Diameter of cylinder = 28 cm
  • Radius of cylinder = 28/2 = 14cm
  • Height of cylinder = 40cm

Now, Curved surface area of cylinder

→ 2πrh

→ 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 40

→ 2 × 22 × 2 × 40

→ 44 × 80

→ 3520 cm²

Total surface area of cylinder

→ 2πrh + 2πr²

Putting the value of CSA

3520 + 2 × 22/7 × (14)²

→ 3520 + 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 14

→ 3520 + 2 × 22 × 2 × 14

→ 3520 + 44 × 28

→ 3520 + 1232

→ 4752 cm²

Volume of cylinder

→ πr²h

→ 22/7 × (14)² × 40

→ 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 40

→ 22 × 2 × 14 × 40

→ 44 × 560

→ 24640 cm³

Hence,

  • CSA of cylinder = 3520 cm²
  • TSA of cylinder = 4752 cm²
  • Volume of cylinder = 24640 cm³

Given :-

  • Diameter of Cylinder = 28 cm

  • Height (h) = 40cm

To Find :-

  • Curved Surface Area

  • Total Surface Area

  • Volume of Cylinder

Solution :-

Diameter of Cylinder = 28 cm

We know that,

Radius(r) = Diameter / 2 = 28/2 = 14 cm

Now,

We know that,

Curved Surface Area of Cylinder

2πrh

2πrh = 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 40 = 3520 cm²

Total Surface Area of Cylinder

2πr(h + r)

➡ 2πr( h + r) = 2 × 22/7 × 14 (40 + 14)

88 × 54 = 4752 cm²

Volume of Cylinder

πr²h

πr²h = 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 40 = 24640 cm³
