Given diameter of cone = 12cm
Radius of cone = 6cm
Height of cone = 8 cm
Now we have to find the length of the cone
i . e. length = square root of (height sq + radius sq)
l = square root of ( 6^2+8^2)
l = square root of ( 36 + 64)
l = square root of (100)
l = 10 cm
Curved surface area of cone = 22/7 × radius × heigh
= 22/7 × 6 × 10
= 22/7 ×60
= 1320/7
= 188.5cm^2
I HOPE THIS IS CORRECT

Hi ,

Dimensions of the cone

Diameter ( d ) = 12cm

Radius ( r ) = d/2 = 12/2 = 6cm

Height ( h ) = 8 cm

Let the slant height = l cm

l² = r² + h²

= 6² + 8²

= 36 + 64

l =√ 100

l = 10 cm

Curved surface area = π rl

A = ( 22/7 ) × 6 × 10

A = 1320 /7 sq cm

I hope this helps you.
