Let the numbers be a and 3a

According to question,

3a - a = 50

=> 2a = 50

=> a = 25

First number = 25

Second number = 3 × 25 = 75

Let the numbers be 

x and 3x

3x  -1x = 50 

2x = 50

x= 50/2

x = 25 

Now,

numbers are :-
