As work=F×S cos theta [work is scalar product of two vectors force and displacement]
Max. Value of cos theta =1 which occurs when theta =0° i.e the force and displacement is parallel and in same direction.
Min. Value of cos theta=-1 which occurs when theta =180° i.e the force and displacement is anti-parallel and in opposite directions.
Max. Value of cos theta =1 which occurs when theta =0° i.e the force and displacement is parallel and in same direction.
Min. Value of cos theta=-1 which occurs when theta =180° i.e the force and displacement is anti-parallel and in opposite directions.

According to 9 class when angle is 0° work is max. And when angle is 180° work is min.
