Answer:

The displacement of a moving object in a given interval is zero i.e., the object comes back to its initial position in the given time (displacement is the shortest distance between the initial and final position of an object). <br> The distance in this case will not be zero because distance is the total length of the path travelled by the body . If the object comes back to its position , then langth of path travelled is not zero.

Answer:

No

Explanation:

No It is not true that if DISPLACEMENT is 0 So DISTANCE would be 0. DISPLACEMENT is the Shortest Distance traveled by the object and DISTANCE is the Total Distance traveled by the object.

let us consider that there is a boy named Rahul who wish to go to a stationary shop to buy a pen and he take the path ABCD in a square such that he first travel 50 m from A to B and then travel 50 m from B to C and then travel 50m from C to D and finally travel 50m from D to A.

Here the DISPLACEMENT travelled is 0 as the boy returned to the point where he started i.e to point A.

But the DISTANCE travelled by him is 200m so it proves that WHEN DISPLACEMENT is 0 THEN DISTANCE is not always 0.
