\textbf{Rule :}

We know that, the distance between the two points (x₁, y₁) and (x₂, y₂) is

= √{(x₁ - x₂)² + (y₁ - y₂)²}

\textbf{Answer :}

So, the distant between the two points (5, -1) and the origin (0, 0) is

= √{(5 - 0)² + (- 1 - 0)²} units

= √{5² + (- 1)²} units

= √(25 + 1) units

= √26 units

The answer is here,

The distance between any point from origin is,

 =  >  \:  \sqrt{ {x}^{2} +  {y}^{2}  }

So, The distance between (5,-1) & origin is,

 =  >   \:  \sqrt{  {5}^{2}  +  ({ - 1)}^{2}  }

 =  >  \:  \sqrt{26}

:-)Hope it helps u.
