Solution :-

Let the two points be A and B

The coordinates of point A = ( -7 , 8 )

The coordinates of point B = ( -16 / 8 )

Now,

We have to find the distance between A and B

Therefore,

By using distance formula,

 XY \:  =  \:  \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^{2} +   {(y2 - y1)}^{2}   }

Here, x1 = -7 , x2 = -16

y1 = 8 , y2 = 8

Subsitute the required values :-

AB \:  =  \:  \sqrt{ {( - 16 -(- 7 )\: )}^{2} \:  +   {(8 - 8)}^{2}  }  \\ AB \:  =  \:   \sqrt{ {( - 9)}^{2}  +  {(0)}^{2} }  \\ AB \:  =  \: 81

Hence, The distance between A and B is 81 units .
