the earth does not experience extremes of temperatures why?

because ozone layer present in the stratosphere absorbs the ultravoilet radiation , so our earth does not experience high temperatures.

But now a days ozone layer is depleted because of high green house gases in the atmosphere , depletes the ozone that results now a days our earth experiences increasing in temperature.
