THE EDGE OF A SOLID CUBE IS 6cm. HOW MANY CUBES OF 2cm EDGE CAN BE FORMED FROM THIS CUBE?

Edge of the larger cube =6cm

Edge of the small cubes = 2cm

Number of cubes= Volume of larger cube/ volume of small cubes

=(6)^3/(2)^3
=216/8
=27.

let "n" be the number of cubes
volume of large cube = n* volume of small cube
216 = 8 *n
n= 216/8
n = 27 cubes.

thus, 27 cubes can be made.
