b. It has helped people to communicate to the World outside, as English has emerged as the International link language.
c. Modern western education has made people aware with the technological scientific developments of the west.

e. It has allowed all sections of Indian society to avail it irrespective of caste differences.
Education system has changed over a period of time:
a. The education was based on traditional knowledge and religious training.
b. Education was imparted by sages, scholars that is the Brahmin community who were learned section of the society.
c. The Gurukul system prevailed.
d. Later Pathshalas came to be existed , comprising of 20 students. The system of education was flexible.There were no fixed rules, no time table, no examinations,no roll calls etc. Teaching was oral, and guru taught as per the needs of the students.
e. Gradually proper system of schools were developed.
f. Universities, institutes were established.
g. Technical education was given importance.
