When the poet saw the snake who had come to drink water and quench his thirst at his water trough, she liked him and treated him as guest. In the beginning he thought that the snake had provided him an opportunity to show his hospitality towards him. Respected him and regarded him as a king in exile who had left his Kingdom underground and come out to drink water. But the voice of his education and Civilization changed his attitude towards him. He thought that the snakes were poisonous and dangerous so he must kill the snake. The rational attitude of the poet urgent kill him. So he hold a log of wood at him in order to kill him. The Snake has silly disappeared and enter the hole. After hearing a log of wood at him he repented and regretted is mean action. He felt guilty and was filled with remorse.
