The end of a glass tube become round on heating because when the glass tube is cooled, it's molecules closely packed. But when the glass tube is heated, it's molecules expand and become round as the materials expand on heating. Hope, my answer will help you.

Answer
When heated, the glass tube melts slowly, changing into liquid state. The surface then is acted by the surface tension force which makes the molecules be limited and as packed as possible. This makes it take ad minimum volume possible. This is possible only if surface becomes spherical. i.e. round
