The equal sides of an isosceles triangle is 13cm and base is 24cm.what is the area(with explanation)

Height of the triangle=(13^2-12^2)^1/2=5cm
thus area=1/2×base×height=1/2×24×5=60cm^2...

By herons formula s=a+b+c/2

S=13+13+24/2=25

Then the root of this s×s-a×s-b×s-c

You will get 60cm2
