Let the point be P(x,y).

Distance of the point from x axis is 

dx=∣y∣ ...(i)

Similarly, its distance from y axis is 

dy=∣x∣ ...(ii)

It is given that dx=2dy

⇒∣y∣=2∣x∣

⇒y2=4x2
