the extract is from the lesson little match girl

(v) explain why the girl lighted the whole bundle of matches at the end

at the end she lighted whole bundle of matches because when she lighted a match and saw her grandmother she did not want to loose her and therefore lighted the whole bundle of matches. She found hope in the imagr of her loving grandmother

1 answer:-when she lit first match she had a vision of a large iron stove and felts its warmth and bright flame suggestive her of the love and affection which she got of her grand mother

2. answer:-when she lit 2 match,the girl saw a feast laid on the table. the feast comprise aroast goose stuffed with apples and dried plums

3answer:-the little girl felt as if she was sitting in front of the heat of the stove,which is symbolic of the feeling of warmth and aaftey which she longed for and it reminded her of the love and affection which she got by her grandmother. she was helisinating all these things because she was longing for these which are symbolic for her undying hope

4:-The matches in the story are symbolic of warmth of cold and warmth of love which the little girl longing for. the matches are also symbolic of light of god and hope
