Answer :-

Given :-

  • Amount distributed to his children in the ratio :- 1 : 2 : 3

  • Amount he keeps for himself = Rs. 100000

  • Total amount = Rs. 250000

To Find :-

  • Share of each child

Solution :-

Amount left for the childern = Total amount - Amount he kept for himself

= 250000 - 100000

= 150000

Amount to he distributed among childern = Rs. 150000

Let the share of children be x , 2x and 3x respectively.

→ x + 2x + 3x = 150000

→ 6x = 150000

→ x = 150000 / 6

→ x = 25000

Share of childern :-

  • x = Rs. 25000
  • 2x = 2 × 25000 = Rs. 50000
  • 3x = 3 × 25000 = 75000

Hence, share of each child is Rs. 25000 , Rs. 50000 and Rs. 75000 respectively.
