Given : the net of a triangular pyramid. The given height is rounded to the nearest hundredth 4.33 cm

Side of Equilateral Triangle = 5 cm

To Find : surface area of the pyramid

Solution:

surface area of the pyramid  = 4 x Area of Each triangle

Area of triangle = (1/2) * base * height

= (1/2) * 5 * 4.33

surface area of the pyramid  = 4 * (1/2) * 5 * 4.33

= 2 * 5 * 4.33

= 10 * 4.33

= 43.3  cm²

Even if height was not given

or We directly could find area of triangle = (√3 / 4) 5²

Surface area = 4 *  (√3 / 4) 5²

= 25√3

= 25 * 1.732

= 43.3 cm²
