Ionization Energy is the minimum energy required to remove the outermost electron from a gaseous neutral atom to form a cation. The position of A will be above B in a group. Because Ionization energy decreases down the group. In period the position of A will be right side of B. Because Ionization energy increases from left to right in a period.
