The first term and the common difference of AP -:3,1,-1,-3....... will be?

Hey,

Given AP :-
3, 1, -1, -3, ......

Let first term be a and common difference be d.
It can be observed that a = 3 and
d = a2 - a1
= 1 - 3 = -2.

Hence, a = 3 and d = -2.

Hey.

Given AP :- 3, 1, -1, -3, .......

Let a be first term and common difference be d.

It can be said that a = 3.
and d = 1 - 3                     (as d= a2 - a1)
 d = -2.

Hence, first term is 3 and common difference is -2.
