the floor of a building consists of 2,000 tiles which are Rhombus shaped diagonals of a rhombus measure 40 cm and 25 CM in length find the total cost of polishing the floor if the cost per square metre is rupees 5

area of 1 tile=1/2×d1×d2
=1/2×40×25
=500cm.sq

area of 2000 tiles=500×2000
=10,00,000cm.sq

10,00,000cm.sq = 1000m.sq [100 cm=1m]

cost of polishing per m.sq=5Rs
cost of polishing 1000m.sq=1000×5
=5000Rs.
