Given that

Area of outer rectangle

= 19 × 16 = 304 m2

Area of inner rectangle

= 15 × 12 = 180 m3

∴ Required area = (304 - 180)

= 124 m2

Answer:

area = 50 metre square

Step-by-step explanation:

let l be the length of room=15 m

b be the breadth of room = 12 m

l' be the length of room (excluding verandah)=15-2=13 m

and b' be the width of the room (except verandah)=12-2=10 m

area of verandah  =area of the rectangular room - area of room which not venradah

=>  area = (l*b) -(l' *b')

=> area =15*12 -  13*10

=> area = 180-130

=> area = 50 metre square
