Gandhiji once went to a English barber in South Africa. The barber much rudely refused to cutting a black man's hair. Gandhiji at once
bought a pair of clipper and cut his own
hairs. He succeeded more or less in cutting the
front part, yet spoilt the back. He looked very
funny and his friends in the court laughed on him.
one of his friend joked, "What's wrong with your hair?"
Gandhiji replies earnestly that the white barber had refused to cut his hair, so he cut it himself.​
