===========

=> In an area called the 'Bingle Bog' there lived a frog under the Sumac tree . He was a great singing lover and flaunted of his singing every now and then. He would croak day and night under the tree . This presented great problems to the other residents of the Bingle Bog who loathed his voice as it wasn't pleasing to hear .

=> In order to stop him from displaying his heart's elation , they used each tactic but all proved futile . So , finally one day - a nightingale entered the place . She sat on a branch and started singing in her sweet melodious voice . This attracted the residents of the area as they had never heard such a beautiful song . They all praised her for the excellent vocal quality . The Nightingale who had never been subject to such a loud applause , became overwhelmed and sang continuously without a pause .

=> The next day , when the Nightingale was getting ready to sing once again : the frog blared out from the tree and introduced himself calling himself 'The owner of the Sumac tree' . Also , he put forward the fact that he had been long known there coz of his 'Splendid Baritone ' . To impress the bird even more he added that he often wielded his pen for the 'Bog Trumpet' magazine .

↑Now , listening to such emphasising introduction of the frog , the Nightingale was greatly flattered and impressed and asked the frog to teach her calling him 'Mozart' in disguise . The frog : in a boastful manner , criticised the the bird - taking out minor flaws in her last night performance in order to impress her even more . He agreed to teach her saying that 'With me , you'll be a winner '!! Or else you will remain a mere beginner. But he demanded a hefty tuition fee in return as well.

=> Thus , began the vocal training of the bird . And as Destiny would have it - she sang and became a huge sensation as birds and animals form all over came to hear her . The frog charged money for her concerts . But , here came the twist . Revealing his true colours and intentions - The frog made her practice in deteriorating weather conditions as well . The poor bird completely subdued and sleep deprived revived herself At the applaud of the audience .

→Still , the frog kept on criticizing her for her lack of strength in voice . Poor Bird ! Owing to his continuous criticism - her voice became shrill . The residents of the bog became tired of her song . But now , she had been habitual to an applaud . This resulted in depression and finally - the bird burst a vein and died. Sad! Finally , the frog succeed in his mission ,to ploy the bird to death .

=> The frog , not at all affected - called her a silly creature adding that "She should have known , your voice must be your own!" Thus, at the end the frog once again became the unrivalled king of the Big as Now there was no one else to compete with him.

========

=> There are several lessons that this poem conveys :

★Don't trust anyone so easily that they begin to take your undue advantage as happened with the bird coz of her blind trust on the frog.

★Have belief and confidence on yourself . This was a thing that the Nightingale lacked . If she had been confident of her singing ability , she wouldn't have faced a terrible death.

★Lastly , the poem highlights how in this cruel world - the crafty people tend to have an upper hand on the innocent and timid ones !

Hope it is satisfactory !!
