The concept of fundamental duties is not unique to India. Erstwhile USSR, Japan, Vietnam to name a few, have listed down fundamental duties. Fundamental duties adopted in the Constitution are unique to India and not borrowed from any country based on the value system of India and way of life, existing for centuries.
