The height of a parallelogram is one fourth of its base. If the area of the parallelogram is 225 cm square, find its base and height.

Heya, so lets get on with your problem real quick.
The height of the parallelogram is 1/4th of its base.
So, if the base is b, then the height is b/4.
area \: of \: a \: parllelogram =  base \times height
so, in this case,
b \times  \frac{b}{4 }  = 225 \\ or \:  {b }^{2}  = 225 \times 4 \\ or \: b = 15 \times 2 = 30 \: cm
thus, the base of the parallelogram is 30 cm and the height will be 30/4 = 7.5 cm
