The highest value of the calculated spin-only magnetic moment (in BM) among all the transition metal complexes is (A) 5.92

- In transition metals, the valence electrons enter in the d subshell.

- So, there can be a maximum of 5 unpaired electrons.

- Magnetic Moment = √n(n+2)

                                 = √5(5+2) = √5 × 7  = √35 = 5.92 BM
