This is a story having the concept of the need for the conservation of ecology.

In this poem, the poet Manoj Das mentions the anxieties of a lawyer whose name is Jaidev.  Jaidev is at the mouthpiece for construction of a quarry by the destruction of hills in Salanda which is an illegal act.

Jaidev discusses two worth memorable experiences of his life which were linked to Salanda with his client Sajan Roy, who is a millionaire and has approached Jaidev for the legal advice.

First one is the incident of forty years before when Chaudhary saw some lights which were seen only by him at night but were not visible during the day which was a mystery to him.  No one believed him and then he got missed and was never found again.  When Sajan made fun of Jaidev’story, he decided not to discuss another incident with him.

The second incident was about the meet up of Jaidev with a hermit about 20 years later when he went to Salanda.  He asked hermit about Chaudhary and got an answer that Chaudhary might have died for the emergence of a new person.

When Jiadev visited Salanda for the third time he was really sad because half or forest and hills had disappeared. He was hurt and ashamed that he was speaking for such people who had destroyed the big part of nature.

Hope this will help you.
