Given :  Two towers are 150 m apart.

The angle of elevation of the top of the first tower as seen from the top of the second tower is 30°

To : Find the height of the

 First tower, when the second tower is 50 m high

Solution:

Let say h is the height of first  tower more than tower 2

Tower 1 height = tower 2 height +  h

d = horizontal distance between towers  = 150 m

Tan 30°  =  h /  d

=> 1/√3  =  h / 150

=> h = 50√3

=> h = 86.6  m  taking √3  = 1.732

height of the  First tower, when the second tower is 50 m high

= 50 + 86.6

= 136.6 m
