the internal Length breadth and height of an open box are 95 CM 75 cm and 20 CM respectively. if the wood is 2.5 cm find the cost of painting the outside of the box at Rupees 1per dm² (use 100cm²=1dm²)​

Internal dimensions of the box :-

length = 95 cm, breadth = 75 cm , height = 20cm

Outer dimensions of the box :-

length = 95 + 2 x 2.5 = 100 cm, breadth = 75 + 2 x 2.5 = 80 cm

height = 20 + 2.5 = 22.5cm (as the box is open)

Surface area of the box = 2(lb+bh+lh)

= 2(8000+1800+2250) = 24100cm²

Surface area of the open box = 24100-8000=16100cm²

= 161 dm²

Cost of painting = Rs. 161 (Ans)
