Hiiii...
Here's your answer...
The Jordans visited the Slaters even though they were not on good terms with them(the Slaters) as they had heard the news of their father, Abel Merriweather's demise and wanted to come and visit them before the Slaters got their hands upon the grandfather's things which the Slaters did( the bureau and the watch). It was not their love and concern for the grandfather or the Slaters that made them visit the Slaters but their greed that made them visit them.

HOPE IT HELPS.....

Hi friend,

Your answer:-

The question is from the play - Dear departed by Stanley Houghton.

Though the Jordans are not on good terms with Slater, they are visiting them because they dont want to lose out on the property of the grandfather. They are not at all interested in caring about the old grandfather but instead they are interested in his wealth and property as they are very selfish.

Hope it helps!
