Answer:

let HCF be = X , -

So as as per question , LCM will be = 20X

2) LCM + HCF = 2520

20X + X = 2520

21X = 2520

X = 2520 / 21

X = 120

therefore , HCF = X = 120

LCM = 20X = 20 x 120 = 2400

NOW, first number = 480

second number = Y

as we know , that : LCM = (PRODUCT OF TWO NUMBERS) / HCF

on putting up the values , we get : 2400 = (480 x Y) / 120

Y = (2400 x 120) / 480

Y = 600

Hence , second number = 600

The LCM of two numbers is 20 times their HCF.

→ LCM = 20 × HCF

LCM and HCF = 2520

Means, the sum of LCM and HCF is 2520.

→ LCM + HCF = 2520

→ 20HCF + HCF = 2520

→ 21HCF = 2520

→ HCF = 2520/21

HCF = 120

Therefore,

→ LCM = 20 × 120

LCM = 2400

Also, given that first number is 480.

We have to find the triple of another number.

We know that,

\sf{Product \:of\:two\:numbers\:=\:LCM\:\times\:HCF}

Let the -

  • another number be M.

Substitute the known values in above formula

→ 480 × M = 2400 × 120

→ M = (2400 × 120)/480

→ M = 2400/4

M = 600

So, it's triple = 600 × 3

1800

•°• Triple of another number is 1800.
