Answer:
Law of conservation of energy says that energy neither be created nor destroyed or energy can be transfer from one form to anothet.
So, If we want energy to do any work we get energy by resources.
Suppose u want to drive any car, u wants energy
So, in this case, we take energy from petrol, petrol convert its chemical energy into mechanical energy to move the car. As, u can see petrol transfer its energy to move the vehicle by combustion. After, complete combustion or after giving all energy petrol is finish now. And now if we wants to move car further we want more petrol. That's why we need to conserve energy like petrol.
There are more example like combustion of coal to move the train, using potential energy of water to create electricity etc.
