The lenght of a rectangle feild is 8m and breadth is 2m if a square feild has the same perimeter as this rectangular feild find which has the greater area ??

Perimeter=2(l+b)
=2(8+2)
=2×10
=20
now according to question,Perimeter is same in square and rectangle
so
Perimeter=4a
therefore
sides=20÷4
=5
so,4×5=20
hence the perimeter is same

so
Area of rectangle=l×b
=8×2
=16m

Area of square =Side×side
=5×5
=25 m

So square has more area compared to rectangle
