Step-by-step explanation:

1.given,perimeter of the rectangle=54

let the width be 'x'

then length is 3 cm more =x+3

A.T.P(According to problem)

perimeter of the rectangle is 2(l+b)

so,2(x+3+x)=54

2(2x+3)=54

4x+12=54

4x=54--12

4x=42

x=42/2

x=12

therefore,breadth=12 cm

length=12+3=15 cm

verification:

l=15 and b=12

perimeter=2(l+b)

2(15+12)

2(27)

54cm
