Given :

⬤ Length of garden is 8m more than its width .

⬤ Area of garden is 384m².

To Find :

⬤ Length of the garden

Formula Used :

Area\:of\:Rectangle\:= length\times{width}

Solution :

Let width of the garden be = x m

Then, Length of the garden = x+8 m

Now ,

384 = (x + 8) * x

384 = x² + 8x

x² + 8x - 384 = 0

x² + 24x - 16x - 384 = 0

x(x+24) - 16(x+24) = 0

There's two values of x and as we know that dimensions can't be negative . Therefore , we'll take x = 16 .

Therefore ,

Length of Garden = 16+8

24

Breadth of Garden = 16
