l=20cm

b=10cm

no. of tiles=5000

area of 1 tile= 20x10cm²=200cm²

area of 5000 tiles= 200cm² x 5000 = 10,00,000cm²

length of tile = 20 cm

breadth of tile = 10 cm

area of one tile = length * breadth

= 20×10 = 200cm²

number of tiles = 5000

area of floor = ??

as we know that

number of tiles = area of the floor/ area of tile

so, 5000 = area of the floor/ 200

area of floor = 5000×200 cm²

= 10,00,000 cm²

or = 10,00,000/10000 m²

because 1cm = 1/100m

hence 1cm² = 1/10000 m²

so,

area of floor = 100 m²
