area of rectangular-- lenght x breadth so, perimeter -- 2 ( lenght plus breadth ) 128 -- ( 5x plus 3x ) then, 128 -- 8x x -- 128 /8 --16 thus, 5x -- 5x 16 --80 & 3x -- 3x16 -- 48 hence, area -- 80x 48 -- 3840 sq m

Hello........... ^_^

Here is your answer...

Given :-
length and breadth of the rectangle are in ratio 5:3
perimeter is 128m

Let length be '5x metres'
breadth be '3x metres'

perimeter = 2 (length + breadth)
=> 128 = 2 (5x + 3x)
=> 128 = 2 (8x)
=> 128 = 16x
=> 128/16 = x
=> 8

length = 5x = 5 X 8 = 40m
breadth = 3x = 3 X 8 = 24m

area of rectangle = length X breadth
 = 40 \times 24 \\  = 960 {m}^{2}

Hope it helps....... ^_^
