A question similar to this. Kindly, put the values by yourself.

The length, breadth and height of a rectangular block of wood were measured to be,

1= 12.1324 0.02 cm, b=8.16 +0.01cm, h = 3.46+0.01 cm. Determine the percentage error in the volume

of the block.

Length = 12.13 +0.02 cm  = L + ΔL

Breadth = 8.16 +0.01 cm   = B + ΔB

Height = 3.46 + 0.01 cm  = H + ΔH

Volume = Length * Bredth * Height   = V + ΔV

V = LBH = 12.13 * 8.16 * 3.46  =  342.47

ΔV/V = ΔL/L + ΔB/B  + ΔH/H

=> ΔV/342.47  =  0.02/12.13 + 0.01/8.16 + 0.01/3.46

=>  ΔV = 0.57  + 0.42 + 0.99

=> ΔV = 1.98

Volume = 342.47 + 1.98

% error = (1.98/342.47) * 100 =  0.58 %
