Answer:

  • 131.88 cm is the required answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Length of Minute Hand of a wall-clock = Radius of Clock = 10.5 cm ( as we consider the clock in circular shape).

To Find:-

  • Distance covered by minutes hand in 2 hour.

Solution:-

If the minute hand takes 1 hour to complete one round .So , the number of rounds covered by minutes hand is 2

As we have to calculate the total distance covered by the minute hand so we calculate the circumference or perimeter of the clock .

  • Circumference of clock = 2πr

where,

  • π = 3.14
  • r denote length of minute hand

Substitute the value we get

→ Total distance covered by minute hand = 2 × 2 πr

→ Total distance covered by minute hand = 2× 2 × 3.14 × 10.5

→ Total distance covered by minute hand = 4 × 3.14 × 10.5

→ Total distance covered by minute hand = 131. 88 cm

  • Hence, the total distance covered by the minute hand is 131.88 cm .

Given :-

Length  of a minute hand of a wall-clock is 10.5 cm.

To Find :-

Distance covered  by tip of minute hand in 2 hours

Solution :-

At first we need to find circumference of circle.

\sf Circumference = 2\pi r

Circumference = 2 × 22/7 × 105/10

Circumference = 44/7 × 105/10

Circumference = 44 × 15/10

Circumference = 66 cm

Now

Distance covered in 2 hours = 2 × 66

Distance  covered in 2 hours = 132 cm
