Answer:

Let,

breadth = x

length = x+7

perimeter = 34 cm.

A/q,

2( l+b) = 34

= 2( x+x+7) = 34

= 2( 2x+7) = 34

= 4x+14 = 34

= 4x= 34-14

= x = 24/4

= x=6

breadth = x = 6 cm

length = x+7

= 6+7

13 cm

Answer:

In this case, let the breadth be

x

Soz the length will be

x + 7

And the perimeter is 34 cm

So,

Perimeter = Length+ Length + Breadth + Breadth

34 = x + 7 + x + 7 + x + x

34 = 4x + 14

34 - 14 = 4x

20 = 4x

20/4 = x

5cm = x

Given,

Length is 7cm long than the breadth, Length = 5+7 = 12 cm
